Are Ryan Gosling's kids old Kenough to see "Barbie"? He isn't so sure.
The actor revealed to E! News that his two daughters, whom he shares with Eva Mendes, still haven't watched Greta Gerwig's film, even though they both love Barbie and their dad plays Ken.
"I don't know if you should watch your father as Ken," he quipped. "I don't know what age is a good age to see your father do that. It gets pretty crazy."
Gosling noted that they have seen "little parts of" the movie, though, and they came to visit him on set while he was filming his big "I'm Just Ken" musical number. He and Mendes share 9-year-old Esmeralda and 7-year-old Amada.
But even though his kids haven’t seen the finished product yet, Gosling said starring in "Barbie" was a "way to sort of make something both for and with them." He previously told Access Hollywood his kids also saw him rehearsing at home and coached him off camera when they visited the set. "I cribbed so many things from them that they do and put it in the film," he said.

Gosling has received acclaim and awards recognition for his performance as Ken in "Barbie," including Golden Globe and Critics Choice Awards nominations for best supporting actor. The song he performed in the movie, "I'm Just Ken," also won best song at Sunday's Critics Choice Awards, leading Gosling to go viral for his stunned reaction. He is expected to receive an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor, with "I'm Just Ken" also tipped for a best original song nod.

On Saturday, Gosling accepted the Kirk Douglas Award for excellence in film at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, where he paid tribute to his partner and kids. He met Mendes making 2012's "The Place Beyond the Pines."
"Most importantly, I got to meet the girl of my dreams, Eva Mendes, and have two dream children," he said. "I dreamed of one day making movies, and now, movies have made my life a dream. The way I see it, there's no way I've contributed to cinema as much as cinema has contributed to me."
